People's attitudes are determined more by their immediate situation or surroundings than by any internal characteristic

Man is a product of evolution. The transformations that immediate situations and surroundings forced on man’s ancestors have given birth to him. So tracing this history of mankind, it is obvious that this characteristic to keep transforming based on situations has been consistently evident and will continue to influence the latest species that evolution has produced. So this attitude to transform is the intrinsic nature of people rather than attitude varying based on internal characteristic.

My system reincarnated

Having for long been looking at the WWW through the Windows I feel liberated with Ubuntu and I think all pirated Windows users should go for it because they get something better for free.
Its Gui is unmatched by any OS in vogue. Also Ubuntu softwares are apenty and with Synaptic they can be installed just like that. Goodbye Windows!

Free trade seems to be a rather recent policy. Why were Governments more protectionists in the past?

Governments in the past acted in a manner that fulfilled the demands of their supply market. Exploring the need for demands of these people who made goods which were supplied to the market, we find that they were apprehensive about competition and since there was an environment which empowered their governments to exploit the market because of their political power, they preferred using this as a means to dictate terms to the market. The British Empire for example had wide areas of the World under its control and this enabled them to fulfill the expectation of its producers which was a protectionist policy at the cost of expectations of the local market. The affordability for a protectionist policy enabled governments to take it up.
With the decline of imperialism, the control of the imperialist forces over the market declined. New governments that got created wanted the expectations of their producers to be met by the international market. These demands from various Governments lead to the evolving of the inevitable, FREE TRADE. This policy seemed likely to pander to the expectations of producers from all parts of the World.

Why in the world would anyone think amnesty is a good idea?

People are provoked into commiting crimes because of their circumstances. A baby born in this World is a lump of clay which gets molded by people around it, who are the cause of circumstances which the baby faces. There are stages through which an individual passes before commiting crimes. Firstly it is his mind(which determines the right things for an individual based on what is good for society and his position in the society) which alerts him of his actions, secondly it is his immediate family which alerts him of his actions and finally comes the society which cautions and punishes him. At the third stage comes this question of amnesty, having been warned of one's actions if one has still persisted on commiting crimes one has to be voluntary in dismissing one's chances for amnesty. But if like most individuals in society if some are not provided chances for undergoing these stages which restrain individuals from harming society then they should be considered for amnesty with suitable steps to alert them in case of any transgressions in future.

This festival is for all those people who are desperate to exhibit their movie making talent to a distinguished and well known group of established film personalities. The highlights of this festival are the duration of movie is just one minute and you can use a mobile camera for making your movies, which i believe could remove a lot of obstacles for people who are tyros to any such initiative. All the very best to the participants.

A human’s poem on Humanity

You are one and the same
You don’t want to accept that fact
You are desperate and deliberate
You see inequality and difference
You forget the oneness

You love unnecessary pride
You make something out of nothing
You don’t realize yourself
You forget the oneness

You love sentiments
You admire the concomitant thoughts
Your don’t admire it in the same you in others
You forget the oneness

You are happiness
You are sadness
You are courage
You are fear
You forget the oneness

You are war
You are peace
You are love
You are hatred
You forget the oneness

You are selfish
You are benevolent
You are greedy
You are altruistic
You forget the oneness

You are great
You are worthless
You are useful
You are useless
You forget the oneness

You see beauty
You see ugliness
You are smart
You are dumb
You forget the oneness

You are lustful
You are monkish
You are shy
You are bold
You forget the oneness

You think from different bodies
You talk from different bodies
You sense ambience from different bodies
You are the same one in different bodies
You forget the oneness

You are alike in spotting difference
You love feeling unique
You are experts in inequality
You forget the oneness

Practice of reasonable and pragmatic faith

The broad cardinal principles that go into successful practice of this kind of faith are the following

1) Accepting the greatness of every human being irrespective of his stature in society unconditionally.
2) Realising and killing vanity and conceit in every form in the mind. Recognise its nature to cause fatigue and distraction.
3) Stop being concerned of other's thoughts and actions and minding one's own. (Because everyone is provided with the equal capacity to take care of oneself)
4) Stop blaming and finding fault in others.
5) Be concious of what one desires and pursues. This includes shedding any after thoughts on incidents that have occured.
6) Stop doubting one's capability under any circumstances. Be patient in circumstances which are unhelpful.

Above all this the mind is the source of all philosophy hence question the mind for answers.

Thoughts which surprised me!!

Sometimes i really feel i miss the company of great men (at least to me) like Gandhi, C.Rajagopalachari, Einstein.........etc. But what i failed to realise was that those individuals became extraordinary only because of their thoughts and actions. Had they been having thoughts common to me and public (excluding these great ones) i think even they would have been like me, totally insignificant in this World. They differentiated themselves only by their beliefs and principles. They really convinced themselves of their beliefs and principles only after a thorough introspection and investigation. They were guys who really made up their mind for what they wanted to be in life. These people have gone nowhere, they still live in each one of us in the form of beliefs which are yet to be discovered in us and in the form of principles which are yet to be practiced by me and a big section of the public. Its only a matter of discovery and practice of their beliefs and principles which will bring them back to life in our body. This shows that all personalities high and low reside in us and it is all a matter of realising them in us. We are what our mind is. We can always communicate with these greatest humans by communicating within ourselves and also question them for answers. And their thoughts and beliefs can be discovered from only their writings and may be through a mental simulation of their character in our mind through facts provided by history. Another thing which made me wonder was their ability to strictly live by their faith in spite of human disabilities which seem to stop millions of fellow humans from becoming Mahatma. The first reason could be lack of effort from individuals, next being inability to be unique by one's beliefs in a society smitten by non-conformity to such an individual's belief and the last being the fear of erring in spite of following those beliefs and its accompanying embarrassment in society. But to the question of how Mahatmas were born in spite of these disabilities, the only answer is this, they were people who realised all these disabilities and overcame them indicating to insignificant humanity that they too can do it like them.
My satisfaction and surprise is in the fact that these great souls live in me like in every other human and that seems to act as motivation for me to be on this Earth. All of us on this Earth are exactly alike but we are desperate to find reasons to differentiate ourselves and this leads to a state of hatred and war (probably this equality also means equality in the way we differentiate ourselves :)).

Ideal existence

The most ideal existence as a human is to understand the limitations of being a human and never be surprised by its different manifestations. Even when one is surprised one should be happy to have revealed another facet of one self and every other human being. One should always make sure one has a control over one's mind to be ever vigilant of its actions on personality. Partial or complete renunciation of life should be undertaken only when this control is lost. This is because we will not only be harmful to oneself but also to society.
Anger, lust and greed are three factors that could make one lose one's ability to control the mind. But there are times when circumstances sows these thoughts in the mind and aids them in their growth. In order to realise and escape them one should practice exercises like yoga, pranayama...etc regularly. People may argue that this only leads to making humans become artificial and lose their naturalness. But when one prognosticates the effect of those thoughts one will realise that they would have better been, had they in the first instance controlled them. But even after realising its effects if one wants to venture into these thoughts one should only be prepared for the repercussions.

Saints & Messengers of GOD

They believe in GOD so much so, they forget themselves in that belief. The mind begins thinking only about God and it also makes one forget oneself in that belief. It is the one of the highest state of obsession. Added to all this when people around them start praising and following them their belief begins to overpower their normal sense. There are times when they begin to act strangely and start having illusions of GOD.
All humans are obsessed about different things in life, in that way these people have the same obsession for god. Hence there is nothing divine/extraordinary about them and they are exactly us with difference in the fodder for the mind.
May be they probably found life easier when they completely reposed themselves to the concept of GOD. They might have assumed their responsibilities were being shouldered by God while they were just helplessly watching things happen (but it is not true always things do happen the way we want it to happen -life is a combination of both). They must have also felt, they had a duty of propagating their way of life to fellow human beings so that even others would find it easier to clear the course on Earth. Even the satisfaction of inspiring others to do what they created (daily practices and beliefs) could have been another reason for their motivation for propagation.

Bhagvad gita

The GITA is one of the most comprehensive works on human psychology. It enlightens the mind about its various characteristics and actions. It proposes to men, the fact that one who is attached to his karma( work) and worships his karma will always feel liberated and enjoys the life on Earth. He who finds himself in everyone irrespective of the innumerable divisions which are already existing in human society, will become free of delusions which could ruin his mind.

According to the Gita every living thing on this earth possesses a soul which never dies and it is the part of the supreme. The soul never dies and it is the body that loses its power to exist when the soul exits. The soul that is present in every living thing is equal and uniform. There is no discrimination based on the characteristics that we presently see in valuing a person.

The author stresses the equality that each one of us possess in the way we are born, think, we live and we leave this world. Every human is asked to understand the equality in greatness within each one and discard the any thoughts of inferiority or superiority. The world can be changed into heaven only when each one realises this truth and practices it. The author also cautions humans on being obsessed over short term goals and their worthlessness the moment they are attained.
For a human who is confused and desperate over certain things in life, the Bhagvad gita could be an effective antidote to relieve him from that state.

What is GOD?

Every man has a tendency to feel certain successes that he has earned, to be the result of certain actions that were in no way associated with the sucesses that he has realised. One such action inmy opinion is the concept of praying to GOD. GOD is a sentiment which has become common in many humans like the GOLD which has become precious because of the shared love among humans, the concept of GOD also has its origin and continuity in the same manner in which gold has become something sought after.
God seems to be a product of human imagination created also as an excuse for human actions which are considered unwarranted by the society. This point can be observed when people say that it was all GOD destined.
Also attributing one's successful actions to god's intervention helps in the removal of ego.
But the truth is that the mind is so powerful that it can make a human believe that god exists and also makes him feel god. The same mind is also responsible for an atheist disbelief in god. He strongly believes that god doesnot exist. It is the mind that creates and destroys GOD. I realised GOD is actually within us because the mind is responsible for us to believe he exists and it is the one creating the dependence on that belief. All the stone idols and statues get their value because of our mind.
It is upto an individual to worship GOD or be an non-believer but the truth is there is no superpower that controls life around a person (atleast that is what my mind is currently feeling and believing). Circumstances can make him believe that he is not holding the reins of his life that is when god tends to be born in the mind.
